Before you begin the worksheet:
- Print a copy of this page for reference.
- Print a copy of the Sample Worksheet.
- Log in to access the Action Plan Worksheet, select Worksheets and then follow the instructions.
How to Use the Worksheet
- If you completed the Develop Strategies Worksheet online, one Action Plan will be set up for each strategy on your Develop Strategies worksheet. The Action Plan Worksheets will have the following rows filled out:
- Hazard
- Strategy
- Strategy Components
- Cost of Hazard
- Cost of Strategy
- Potential Benefit
- If you completed the Develop Strategies Worksheet offline, complete an Action Plan Worksheet for each strategy identified on the Develop Strategies Worksheet. Enter the information from your Develop Strategies Worksheet into the corresponding fields:
- Hazard
- Strategy
- Strategy Components
- Cost of Hazard
- Cost of Strategy
- Potential Benefits
- Goals row – Enter the goal(s) you want to achieve by implementing the strategy.
- Cost/Benefit Rationale row – Develop a cost/benefit rationale for the strategy by comparing the:
- Estimated cost of the risk, hazard or problem
- Cost of the strategy and the benefits of implementing the strategy
- Intangible costs and benefits
- Estimated short and long-term benefits of implementing the strategy
- Steps to Implement column – Enter the steps needed to complete all the strategy components.
- Responsibility column – Enter the name of the person or group assigned to ensure the step is completed.
- Date Completed column – Use this column to enter the date the step was completed.
- When you’ve completed the worksheet:
- Click on Print and Exit to save your work online and for a hard copy of your work.
- Click Back to return to the Develop Strategies Worksheet.
